Fighting Lovers 

 

The Fighting Lovers, are next to me

I hear the painful sounds 

of  broken harmony’s.

A lady,  and a man,

are looking different way’s 

and making different plans.

 

Them Fighting Lovers,  around me

And when the love has gone

how different it can be.

 

If you don’t know where to go or where to hide.

When you lie awake in bed…. every night.

Wishing you had never known now

what you didn’t know back when 

it was enough to have your love “for life”...

 

 

Them Fighting Lovers, all day long

still try to make it work 

but they wonder what went wrong.

What went wrong along the road

why there heart feels so alone

and it is just.. going on.

 

If you don’t know where to go,

well if you don’t know where to hide or go tonight.
